Your photos and videos never leave your device. There is no account and no advertising. Reclaim reports anonymous usage and crash data so we can see which features are used and fix faults, and you can turn that off in Settings.
Photos and videos
Reclaim asks for access to your photo library so it can find duplicates, large videos, screenshots and other items you may want to remove. All analysis happens on your device, using Apple's on device frameworks. Reclaim also reads the text in your screenshots, on your device, to tell a boarding pass from a receipt. No photo, video, thumbnail, or anything read or derived from them is ever uploaded, shared or seen by us.
What stays on your device
Reclaim keeps a small amount of information on your device so it can work: which photos you have marked or kept, cached measurements so a rescan is faster, and a running total of how much space your cleanups have freed, which tracks the free allowance. That total is kept in the device's Keychain so it survives reinstalling the app. None of this identifies you, and none of it leaves the device.
Usage and crash reporting
Reclaim uses Google Firebase to report how the app is used and to receive crash reports. This is on by default and can be turned off at any time under Share anonymous usage data in Settings. What is sent: which screens are opened, which cleanup actions are confirmed and completed, how much space was freed, how large your library is, and whether a subscription was started or completed and which plan it was. Sizes are sent both as rounded bands such as "500 MB to 2 GB" and as a figure rounded to the nearest megabyte, so we can total them. Also the app version, the device model, the operating system version, and an approximate location, no more precise than a city, that Google works out from your network address. Purchases are recorded as the plan you chose; we never receive your card, your billing details or your Apple ID. What is never sent: any photo or video, any thumbnail, any filename, any capture date, the precise location of anything, and anything read from a screenshot. Firebase assigns a random identifier to each installation. It is not your name, your email or your Apple ID, it is not the advertising identifier, and turning reporting off deletes it, so nothing reported before can be joined to anything after. Google processes this data for us as described in Google's privacy policy, and it is stored on Google servers outside your device.

Send feedback in Settings writes to us by email. What is sent is what you type, plus the app version, your device model and your iOS version, so a fault can be reproduced. The reply address is optional: leave it blank and we have no way to identify you, or fill it in and we will use it only to answer you. Nothing is taken from your photo library, and no identifier links a message to anything else in this policy. Messages are delivered through Brevo, our email provider, and kept in our support mailbox until the matter is closed. Ask us to delete yours at any time using the address below.
Checking for updates
On opening, Reclaim asks Apple's public App Store lookup service which version of the app is current, so it can tell you when yours is out of date. The request names the app and nothing else. No identifier, no account and no information about you is sent.
What we do not do
We do not create an account for you. We do not collect your name or contact details, beyond a reply address you choose to type into the feedback form. We do not use the advertising identifier, and Reclaim never asks to track you across other apps or websites. We do not show ads, and we do not sell or share data with anyone for advertising.
Deletion
When you remove items with Reclaim, they are deleted through Apple's Photos system, which moves them to your Recently Deleted album for about 30 days. Reclaim cannot bypass this. You confirm every deletion in a system dialog controlled by iOS, not by us.
Purchases
Reclaim Pro is sold through Apple. When you buy, Apple processes the payment and gives the app a signed receipt that it checks on your device. We do not receive your name, payment details or Apple ID. Apple's privacy policy governs the transaction.
Permissions
Photo library access can be granted, limited or revoked at any time in Settings. The app works with limited access, and says so when its figures cover only your selection.
Children
Reclaim is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, and the usage reports described above identify nobody.
Your rights
Everything Reclaim stores about your library lives on your device and is under your control. The usage and crash reports we receive carry no name, email or account, so we cannot look up a person in them. A feedback message is the one thing you can send us that may carry an address, and only because you typed it. To stop sending them, turn off Share anonymous usage data in Settings, which also deletes the random installation identifier. To ask about data held about you, write to the address below.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear here and at the hosted address before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows the current version.
